Coding and QOF

Coded and counted.

If it isn’t coded, it doesn’t count. MediPal suggests the codes and checks QOF while the consultation is still fresh in your mind.

MediPal uses AI to draft notes and suggest prompts. AI and transcription can make mistakes, so every output is reviewed by the clinician before use.

Illustrative example with a demo patient.

How it works

  1. Code

MediPal spots the clinical concepts in the consultation and attaches SNOMED codes from NHS England’s primary care reference sets.

  2. Check

QOF checks across smoking, weight, cholesterol, asthma, cervical screening and diabetes, plus documentation prompts such as blood pressure.

  3. Confirm

You review every suggestion. Nothing is coded without your say.

Good to know

  • Never generated by AI. Codes come from a fixed catalogue built from NHS England reference sets.
  • Clinically reviewed. Code mappings are reviewed by Dr. Hagana, medical co-founder.
  • Suggestions, not decisions. You stay in charge of what gets coded.
