Sub-processor Disclosure

The third parties MediPal uses to deliver the service, what each one does, where they process data, and under what safeguard.

MediPal uses the following sub-processors to provide our service. We will notify practices of any intended changes to this list, in line with our Data Processing Agreement, giving the opportunity to object.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Role Infrastructure hosting, data storage, and backup. AWS also processes the content of consultations, through the three services below.
  • Amazon Transcribe Converts the consultation audio recording to text. This is the only sub-processor that receives the audio itself.
  • Amazon Bedrock Hosts the AI model used for clinical analysis and note drafting. Receives the transcript, never the audio.
  • Amazon SES Delivers account emails such as password resets and practice invitations. These contain no clinical content.
  • Location eu-west-2 (London).
  • Safeguard AWS Data Processing Addendum.

Anthropic

  • Role Provider of the AI model used for clinical analysis and note drafting. The model runs inside AWS Bedrock and receives the consultation transcript. Anthropic does not receive the audio recording and does not perform transcription.
  • Location Processed within AWS Bedrock, eu-west-2 (London).
  • Safeguard Anthropic Commercial Terms and Data Processing Addendum, including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable.
